Henry Walters and Transmissions delivered a collection of tracks entitled "Slippers and Robes for Slappers and Rubes" on 29th November 2024. A refreshing collaborative EP that thrives on reinvention and chemistry. This six-track collection highlights the duo’s shared artistry, blending reinterpretations with bold new compositions.

The EP kicks off with "Human Get-Together" and "Mermaid," with each artist offering a unique take on the other. As the Transmissions' take on the "Human Get-Together" is fully made with wonderful rhythms and lyrics, while Walters' take on "Mermaid" is imaginatively subtle, where his sonic vulnerability, "The Deep End" was added on the go. By contrast, on “Swallow My Pride,” Transmissions’ spin is explosive, injecting unique layers of instrumentation. At the same time maintaining the emotional core of the song.

Alpine Blues” and “Angel” are collaborative songs where the magic of harmony really shines through. “Angel” balances edgy electronic textures with Walters’ contemplative lyricism, while “Alpine Blues” feels like a playground, mixing intricate guitar parts with glitchy rhythms.

"Slippers and Robes for Slappers and Rubes" isn't just an EP, it's a wonderful conversation between two creative minds. Proving the beauty of working together. This release is just as diverse with consistency and make listeners want more. Tap the Spotify link above for an amazing listening.
