INNERPLANETZ – All I Want Is What U Want: A Rhythmic Journey Through Love and Imperfection

INNERPLANETZ make an intriguing entrance with their debut single, “All I Want Is What U Want,” a track that combines engaging storytelling with the restless energy of drum and bass. Built around a narrative of attraction, uncertainty and the desire to make a complicated relationship work, the song introduces listeners to a world where human emotions meet unpredictable circumstances. At its centre is Pete, who finds himself drawn to a new girlfriend whose erratic behaviour suggests she has experienced difficulties in the past. Rather than backing away, he remains willing to give the relationship a chance, hoping that things can improve between them. This premise gives the single a relatable emotional foundation, exploring the willingness to accept another person’s imperfections in the pursuit of connection. With its distinctive combination of melodic expression and rhythmic intensity, INNERPLANETZ establish an identity that balances thoughtful songwriting with an adventurous musical approach.

The track’s drum-and-bass influence provides a driving force, bringing movement and urgency to its storytelling. Pulsating rhythms create an energetic backdrop, while the melodies help convey the emotional uncertainty at the heart of the narrative. This contrast between intensity and vulnerability gives the song its appeal, allowing its musical character to reflect the unpredictable nature of relationships. INNERPLANETZ describe their sound as an embrace of sonic imperfection, a perspective that suggests authenticity matters more than achieving an overly polished result. The emphasis on genuine musicality also extends to the duo’s forthcoming album, “Hu-man,” whose title highlights their intention to celebrate human creativity rather than rely on AI-generated music. Their origins are equally interesting: two musicians who exchanged glances at school eventually reconnected years later while walking along a canal in Manchester, discovering a shared musical sensibility that inspired their collaboration.

“All I Want Is What U Want” is a promising introduction to INNERPLANETZ, offering a blend of rhythmic momentum, emotional storytelling and an unmistakably independent spirit. Its focus on complicated affection gives the energetic production something meaningful to communicate, while its melodic elements make the experience inviting. With their next single, “Dreamdriver,” and the album “Hu-man” on the horizon, the duo have established an exciting starting point. This debut invites listeners to embrace the imperfect nature of love and music alike, leaving a positive impression and setting the stage for INNERPLANETZ’s next creative chapter.
